Paint protection film (PPF) in Surrey
Paint protection film for cars in Surrey: a clear, self-healing layer that takes the stone chips and road grit so your paint does not. It is fitted by hand at our workshop in Lingfield, with the panels agreed in a fixed written quotation first.
Process
How we work
The film goes on at Unit 17, Jesmor Farm, on St Piers Lane in Lingfield, in the far south-east corner of Surrey. One car is in the unit at a time, so yours is prepared and filmed without another job going on beside it. The best time for the film is before the paint picks up its first chip, which makes a new car the ideal candidate once the dealer prep has been checked.
The film is clear urethane with a self-healing top coat, and close to invisible once it is on. Coverage usually comes as a full front (the bumper, bonnet, wings and mirrors), a track pack or the whole body, with a partial front or single high-wear panels as smaller options.

Before you book
Planning your protection
Read up on the film, how it works alongside a ceramic coating and how to look after it, then tell us which panels you want covered.
What PPF does
The film, the self-healing top coat, the panels it usually covers and the jobs it is no good for.
ViewPPF or ceramic coating?
One stops stones, the other adds gloss and makes washing easier, and plenty of cars are better off with both.
ViewLooking after a wrap or PPF
The first fortnight, washing, pressure washers and what to do if an edge lifts.
ViewPaint protection film
Coverage, self-healing and its limits, ceramic on top, and how long the film lasts.
ViewPPF in Lingfield
For drivers in Lingfield itself, Dormansland and Blindley Heath, on the workshop’s doorstep.
ViewCar wrapping in Surrey
A new colour from the same unit; the film can go over the wrap or under it.
ViewWindow tinting in Surrey
Ceramic tint for the glass, fitted on the same visit if that suits you.

How a job runs
- 01
Choose the coverage
Send the registration, a few photos and the panels you want covered. A fixed written quotation follows within one working day, naming every panel and the day the car will be ready.
- 02
Check the paint
Clear film shows whatever is underneath it, so chips already in the paint are noted on the quotation and you can have them touched in before anything is fitted.
- 03
Prepare and fit
The car is washed and decontaminated, then the film is shaped to each panel by hand. Where a panel edge allows, the film is wrapped round it and tucked; elsewhere it stops just short of the edge and is sealed.
- 04
Let it cure
Leave the first wash for a week while the adhesive sets, and keep a pressure washer off the edges for longer than that. The written warranty and the aftercare sheet go home with the car.
Area
Booking the car in
A full front is a shorter stay than full-body film, and the ready day is on the quotation before you book. If you also want tint or a colour change, one visit and one quotation can cover the lot, with a line for each job.
The car is filmed indoors at Unit 17 Jesmor Farm, St Piers Lane, Lingfield, Surrey RH7 6PN.
What the film will and will not do
It takes the everyday damage: stone chips on the bonnet and bumper, gravel rash on the sills and lower doors, wash swirls, and bird lime or tree sap before it can etch the lacquer. It will not stop a dent or hide chips already in the paint, and a deep scratch stays in the film rather than healing: better there than in the paint.

FAQ
Common questions
Do you offer mobile paint protection film fitting in Surrey?
No. PPF is fitted only at the workshop in Lingfield, never on a driveway. The film is thick and unforgiving, and a speck of dust trapped under it stays visible for years, so it goes on indoors.
Do you need to see the car before quoting?
No. The registration and a few photos are enough for a fixed written quotation; if any panel needs a closer look, the quotation says so.
How long does PPF last?
Five to ten years; for a car that lives outside, around seven is a fair expectation. The film is covered by its maker against yellowing, peeling and cracking, and the fitting by our own written warranty.
Is a full front enough?
For a car that mostly does local miles, usually. One that spends its week on motorways, or one you mean to keep for years, may justify a track pack or the whole body. We quote the coverage you ask for and say plainly if we think it is more than the car needs.
What does paint protection film cost in Surrey?
The coverage sets most of the price, followed by how complex the panels are and the state of the paint underneath. Every job gets one fixed figure in writing, never a “from” price, with the panels it covers named on the quotation.
Can PPF go with a wrap or a ceramic coating?
Yes to both: the film can sit under or over a wrap, and a coating can go on top of it. The film takes the stones; the coating adds gloss and makes the car easier to wash.
