Process
How we work
We tint the side windows, quarter glass and rear screen of your car, with the film fitted to the inside of the glass. The work is done at Unit 17, Jesmor Farm, on St Piers Lane in Lingfield, in the south-east corner of Surrey by the Kent and West Sussex borders. The price depends on the car and the windows you choose, not on where you live.
The film is ceramic or multilayer, never the dyed kind that fades purple. Tint can be a job on its own, or join a wrap or paint protection film in the same visit, each priced on its own line of one quotation.

How a job runs

Tell the quote form which windows and what body style: most tint-only jobs can be priced instantly from those two answers. If the form cannot price yours, a fixed written quotation follows within one working day.

Settle the shade
Decide how dark the rear glass should go. The configurator helps, and the samples can be held against your own windows before any film is cut.
- 03
Drop-off
Bring the car to Lingfield on the agreed day. It is the only car in the unit while the film goes on, and the front-glass readings go on your paperwork.

Afterwards
The film takes a few days to dry, longer in cold or damp weather, and any haze clears by itself. Clean the glass without ammonia or abrasives, and keep the written warranty we hand over with the car.

Choosing a shade
Behind the driver the shade is yours to choose, for privacy and looks; at the front the law narrows it to light films or none. A very dark rear screen makes reversing at night harder on a car without a camera, so weigh that up before you settle on the darkest film.

Common questions
Do you offer mobile window tinting in Surrey?
No. Every car is tinted at the Lingfield workshop, never on a driveway or a street. Tint needs clean glass and as little dust in the air as possible while the film goes on, and a unit with one car in it is the place for that.
How quickly can tint be priced?
For most tint-only jobs, instantly: the quote form works the price out from the windows and body style you pick, and the fixed figure is emailed as soon as you send it. Where it cannot, a written quotation follows within one working day.
How dark can the windows legally go?
At the front, not far: at least 75% of the light must pass through the windscreen and at least 70% through the front side windows. Behind the driver there is no limit. We keep every front window inside those figures, and our guide to UK tint law explains how the glass is measured.
Will tint keep the car cooler?
It helps. How much depends on the film more than on the shade, and a light ceramic film can outperform a darker dyed one. The configurator gives each film’s published heat-rejection figures side by side.
Does tint have to be declared to my insurer?
Yes. Insurers treat window film as a modification, cosmetic or not, and leaving it off the policy can cost you a claim. We hand over the film and fitting details so you can tell them exactly what was fitted.
