Paint protection film for East Grinstead

Self-healing paint protection film for East Grinstead cars, fitted at our Lingfield workshop about 12 minutes north. The film takes stone chips and gravel rash so the paint does not. Fixed written quotation.

Process

How we work

Most of the chips a car collects come from the road ahead: grit flicked up by the car in front, gravel at the edge of a lane. For East Grinstead drivers that means the A22 and the country roads either side of it. Clear film over the front end absorbs those impacts, and its top coat heals light marks with warmth.

The workshop is at Jesmor Farm on St Piers Lane in Lingfield, about 12 minutes away by the A264 and the lanes through Dormansland. One car is fitted at a time, after a full wash and decontamination, and the coverage is exactly what the quotation names.

Services from this workshop

Clear film protects the colour you have; a wrap changes it. Window tint can join either one on the same written quotation.

Area

Protecting East Grinstead cars

A newer car, or one freshly repainted, is the best candidate: film keeps good paint good, but it will not hide damage that is already there. If yours has chips, we tell you on the quotation, and you can decide whether to have them touched in first.

Where the film goes on: Unit 17 Jesmor Farm, St Piers Lane, Lingfield, Surrey RH7 6PN.

Film or a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a hard, glassy layer a few microns thick. It makes paint glossier and easier to wash and resists bird lime and water spots, but a stone passes straight through it. PPF is a real film, thick enough to absorb the hit. If you want both, the coating goes on top of the film.

FAQ

Common questions

How long is the drive from East Grinstead?

About 12 minutes to Lingfield. The unit is at Jesmor Farm on St Piers Lane, and “Get directions” opens the route.

How long will you have the car?

A front-end job is a shorter stay than a full colour change; full-body film takes longer. The ready day is on the quotation, and the train from Lingfield back to East Grinstead is an option if you leave the car.

Will PPF fix existing chips?

No. It stops new ones, but chips already in the paint stay visible under clear film. We point them out before you book.

Does it change the look of the paint?

Standard film is clear and keeps the finish you already have. On a gloss car it should be hard to spot once it is fitted.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, a written one with the finished job, subject to the care advice we hand over.
